Edge One Solutions supported TATE Multimedia by providing IT specialists involved in the development of projects for an independent video game developer and publisher.

The cooperation supported the creation and further development of gaming solutions, helping TATE Multimedia deliver projects for global markets and platforms, including Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo.

    The Tate Multimedia team sought support in implementing and integrating player achievement systems—such as leaderboards, Xbox Achievements, and PlayStation Trophies—for PS4 and Xbox One platforms. A key goal was to tie these features into gameplay mechanics and player progress tracking, while adhering to the technical and certification requirements of each platform.

  • Scope of work by Edge One Solutions

    Edge One Solutions supported Tate Multimedia by providing IT specialists responsible for developing and integrating gaming features for console platforms.

    The scope of support included implementing achievement systems for Xbox and PlayStation, integrating these features with Unreal Engine logic, and adapting them to the game’s internal mechanics.

    The team also worked on tools supporting testing, debugging, and integrating achievements with other game components.

  • Solution

    The team implemented player achievement systems for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, integrating them with the existing game structures and gameplay mechanics.

    The work was carried out using C++, Blueprint Visual Scripting, and Unreal Engine 4, enabling iterative testing, debugging, and efficient collaboration with Tate Multimedia’s internal team.

    Access to devkits and testkits made it possible to prepare features aligned with console platform requirements and ready for the certification process.

  • Project significance for gaming and multiplatform solutions

    In console games, achievements, rankings, and trophies are important parts of the player experience because they strengthen motivation, engagement, and the sense of progress.

    The Tate Multimedia project shows that platform-specific features must not only be implemented correctly from a technical perspective, but also properly connected with gameplay mechanics and console certification requirements.

    For game studios, similar support can accelerate the development of multiplatform features, reduce certification-related risks, and make it easier to prepare future titles for different platforms.
