  • Challenge

Allegro needed a solution that would allow customers to purchase a monthly or annual subscription for free delivery of products bought on the platform.

The key challenge was not only to support the subscription process itself, but also to promote the Smart service in a way aligned with user shopping behavior and potential benefits resulting from their activity on the platform.

The solution had to work consistently with multiple Allegro systems, support delivery and payment processes, and maintain the reliability required in a very large-scale marketplace environment.

  • Project significance for e-commerce and subscription services

In large e-commerce platforms, subscription services can increase user loyalty, purchase frequency, and the predictability of the customer relationship with the platform.

The Allegro Smart project shows that effective support for such a service requires not only the user-facing layer, but also stable microservices responsible for subscriptions, payments, delivery, and system integrations.

For e-commerce companies, similar solutions can support the development of subscription models, personalization of benefits, and scaling of value-added services in high-transaction-volume environments.
