Edge One Solutions supported Fiserv by providing IT specialists responsible for integrating the Merchant Portal with an external Ecom service.

The project included an access control mechanism, support for selected payment operations, and mapping IPG transaction data with outlet data in the contract between the Merchant Portal and Ecom.

  • Challenge

    The project required integration with an external Ecom service handling active payment operations such as transaction chargebacks, payment refunds, and transaction voids.

    The key challenge was to make these functionalities available only to a selected group of users while maintaining security and compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards.

    An additional issue was incorrect access assignment to account types, which required designing an additional mechanism for managing access to the service.

  • Scope of work by Edge One Solutions

    Edge One Solutions supported Fiserv by providing IT specialists responsible for developing transaction and integration features in the Merchant Portal.

    The scope of support included implementing a user permission verification mechanism and an additional feature allowing the main store owner to enable and disable service access for individual accounts.

    The team also supported mapping transaction data from the IPG service with outlet data so that payment operations could be correctly executed in the integration between the Merchant Portal and Ecom.

  • Solution

    As part of the project, a mechanism was implemented to verify user permissions based on access rights assigned to specific account types.

    Because these assignments were incorrect, an additional feature was prepared to allow the main store owner to manage service access for individual accounts. The mechanism was based on database flags.

    Transaction data from IPG was also mapped with outlet data and used in the contract between the Merchant Portal and the Ecom system, enabling correct execution of payment operations.
