Tools and technologies used

  • Challenge

Bank Pekao needed support in increasing the efficiency of E2E processes related to mortgage loan handling.

The key challenge was to create an innovative online sales channel that would shorten application processing time, increase the level of financial analysis automation, and improve offer availability for customers.

The solution had to be integrated with the HIPOSFERA system while remaining flexible in response to changing market requirements and subsequent product development stages.

  • Solution

The project was divided into subsequent development stages. In the first stage, an MVP version was prepared to test business assumptions and assess the new housing loan handling process.

The next stage included the development of features such as omnichannel support, handling different income sources, automated financial decisions, and support for multiple applicants.

Further development of the solution includes support for primary market properties, analysis of inflows from accounts in other banks based on PSD2, and more advanced automated financial decisions.

  • Project significance for digital banking

Digitalizing mortgage loans requires combining convenient customer experience, integration with banking systems, and financial analysis automation.

The Bank Pekao project shows how a staged product development approach can first validate an MVP and then expand into omnichannel features, automated financial decisions, and support for more complex credit scenarios.

For financial institutions, similar solutions can help shorten application handling time, improve offer availability, and better align digital sales processes with customer expectations.
