Edge One Solutions supported Bank Pekao in designing the future digital banking ecosystem for large enterprises and corporate clients. The goal was to organise the Bank’s offer, processes and services of its subsidiaries into one consistent user experience.

The scope included discovery with key stakeholders, benchmarking global banks and fintechs, and developing a target concept and information architecture to support further product, UX/UI and technology work.

  • Challenge

Bank Pekao is developing a new vision for digital banking aimed at large enterprises and corporate clients. The existing solution required a fresh approach to its functionality, service organisation and information architecture.

The scale of the initiative went beyond designing a single application. The future system needed to bring together the offer and processes of multiple Bank units and subsidiaries, including leasing, factoring, investment funds and mortgage financing. Each area had different business, technology and operational requirements.

The key challenge was to create a consistent service ecosystem that responds to corporate clients’ needs while preparing the organisation for growth across multiple channels — from desktop and mobile devices to future touchpoints such as wearables and in-car systems.

  • Scope of work

The project began with discovery and organisational mapping. We held meetings with key departments, business units, technology teams and teams responsible for strategy and UX to understand the service landscape, processes and dependencies across the organisation.

The team mapped the Bank’s key areas and subsidiaries, identified existing functionality and services, gathered corporate customer needs, and captured business and IT pain points. We then benchmarked global banks and fintechs to identify market trends, functional gaps and development opportunities for the future solution.

Based on these findings, we developed a target concept and information architecture: the structure of service areas and functionalities, the way services should be grouped from the user’s perspective, and a model for connecting the Bank’s offer with the services of its subsidiaries.

  • Solution

Edge One Solutions supported Bank Pekao in moving from a fragmented view of services and organisational needs towards a shared vision of future corporate banking. Discovery and market analysis made it possible to structure information, identify development priorities and design the logic of the future ecosystem.

The outcome is a target concept and information architecture that define which services and functionalities should be included in the system, how they should be presented to users, and how the Bank’s offer and its subsidiaries can be brought together into one consistent experience.

The project is ongoing. The deliverables provide a foundation for further product, UX/UI and technology work, supporting stakeholder decision-making and preparing the solution for the next stages of development.
