Edge One Solutions supported Nowa Era by providing IT specialists responsible for developing the Bingel educational platform.

The project included reactive programming, the Vert.x framework, knowledge transfer after taking over the project, and reducing technical debt in automated tests.

  • Challenges

    One of the key challenges was the team’s transition to reactive programming, which required working with a more complex and less common technological approach.

    The project used the Vert.x framework, which is more specialized than popular solutions such as Spring, increasing the requirements for the team and implementation process.

    An additional challenge was taking over a project previously developed by Belgian teams, transferring knowledge to the team in Poland, and reducing technical debt in automated tests.

  • Scope of work by Edge One Solutions

    Edge One Solutions supported Nowa Era by providing IT specialists responsible for developing the Bingel educational platform.

    The scope of support included working with an architecture based on reactive programming and the Vert.x framework, as well as maintaining project consistency after its transfer to the team in Poland.

    The team also supported activities related to improving automated tests in order to increase software reliability and streamline the deployment process.

  • Solutions

    As part of the project, the Bingel platform was developed — an educational solution for students and teachers using game-based elements.

    The platform supports students’ individual learning paths and promotes inclusivity through customizable avatars, including features such as gender, skin color, hairstyle, clothing, and accessories.

    The work included developing the solution in a technology environment based on Vert.x, Java, Angular, MongoDB, and AWS, while addressing knowledge transfer and further platform maintenance needs.

    Educational platforms increasingly combine teaching content, learning personalization, gamification, and tools that support student engagement.
