About the client
InPost is one of the leading courier companies in Poland, specializing in delivering parcels via modern parcel lockers. Thanks to advanced technology and an extensive network of parcel lockers, the company provides customers with fast, flexible and safe delivery services. InPost has become an integral part of the Polish logistics market, gaining the trust of both consumers and companies.
The challenges related to the project included the need to ensure system reliability through manual testing and the development of automated tests that allowed for effective verification of various scenarios of logistics processes. It was also crucial to define an appropriate test strategy that took into account the complexity of integration with external systems and the diversity of processes. During the project, our IT specialist was also responsible for error analysis and implementing solutions to eliminate encountered problems, as well as ensuring proper system observability by creating metrics and dashboards monitoring performance and process flow. Additionally, the team faced the need to simplify testing of various system elements, while minimizing the costs associated with load testing.
The solutions that were implemented included the development and implementation of manual and automated testing strategies, which allowed for effective verification of the system's operation in various scenarios. The use of tools supporting testing and process automation enabled faster error detection and elimination. The preparation of metrics and dashboards allowed for ongoing monitoring of system performance and the speed of logistics processes, which contributed to better system optimization. Additionally, limited performance testing allowed for the identification of bottlenecks in the system and the introduction of appropriate corrections, which ultimately affected its efficiency and reliability. The project was successful, contributing to the optimization of InPost's logistics processes and the improvement of the quality of shipment handling.
