About the client
mTax is a comprehensive accounting solution for small and medium-sized businesses and individual clients. It enables the digitalization and automation of collaboration with accounting firms. The mobile app gives users instant access to invoices, taxes, financial documents, and communication with their accountant—no need for physical visits or paper document flow.
The project's goal was to create an intuitive, secure, and fully mobile platform for managing accounting from a smartphone. Key features included in the app included:
- Remote access to accounting documents (invoices, contracts, tax returns).
- Encrypted communication with the accounting office.
- Scanning of expenses and documents using a camera.
- Categorization and description of expenses.
- Data versioning and archiving.
- An additional challenge was simplifying the interface and maintaining compliance with financial data protection regulations.
The development team designed and implemented the mTax Mobile app, which enables:
- Logging in and verifying user identity from within the app
- Viewing a list of accounting documents, broken down by user or office
- Viewing and editing document details – including issue date, number, and expense category
- Quickly exchanging comments with your accountant, with the option to add attachments
- Scanning expense documents and sending them directly to the system
- Defining relationships with business partners and storing contracts
- The app was designed to minimize user errors and ensure full compatibility with the office's internal accounting systems.
