Case study > Construction > Edge One Solutions for Budimex

About the client
Budimex is one of the largest construction companies in Poland, operating for over 50 years. It specializes in infrastructure, industrial, and energy projects in both the public and private sectors.
Budimex, one of the largest infrastructure and construction companies in Poland, wanted to ensure that its ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services) system, used for user authentication, operated stably under heavy load. A key goal was to verify that the system could handle up to 1,200 simultaneous user logins without any performance degradation.

The Edge One Solutions team designed and conducted comprehensive performance tests, replicating the actual login process (including generating SAML requests and responses).
Test assumptions:
- Simulation of 8,000 user accounts.
- Internet connection: 100 Mbps (download and upload).
- Simulation of load from 30 to 1,200 concurrent users.
- Duration of each test: 10 minutes.
Three key stages of the login process were tested:
1. Generating a SAML request (SAML Request)
2. User login
3. Generating a SAML response (SAML Response)
Response times, errors, throughput, and load distribution were analyzed.
