Case study > Banking & Financial Services > Development of a Real Estate Insurance Module for Bank Pekao’s Web and Mobile Application

Edge One Solutions supported Bank Pekao in developing a real estate insurance module for its web and mobile application. The project scope included testing, bug management, issue prioritization, project dashboards, and preparing a stable MVP version.
The client is expanding its application to include the ability to add property insurance.
The application is available in mobile and web versions. Insurance can be added by the client in the application, through a branch advisor, or by phone.
The project team was faced with the need to quickly respond to a large number of detected errors in the developing banking application. A key challenge was not only to efficiently identify and classify errors, but also to prioritize them to quickly prepare a stable and attractive MVP version of the product. Additionally, the project required flexibility in adapting to dynamic changes from business partners (e.g., insurance companies), which required maintaining stable integrations and rapid system adaptation.

Edge One Solutions supported Bank Pekao in the areas of quality assurance, testing, and stabilization of the real estate insurance module. The work focused on organizing the bug management process, increasing visibility into project status, and preparing a stable MVP version of the solution.
The Edge One Solutions team was responsible for supporting testing activities, analyzing issues, prioritizing bugs, and preparing project dashboards. An important part of the project was also ongoing cooperation with the Product Owner, the project team, and stakeholders responsible for the development of the functionality.
The scope of work included:
· organization of the testing process for the insurance module,
· identification, analysis, and classification of bugs,
· support in prioritizing project issues,
· monitoring the status of user stories and bugs,
· preparation of dashboards supporting project decisions,
· cooperation with the Product Owner and QA team,
· support in stabilizing the MVP version,
· quality control of integrations with insurance partners.

We delivered a product that met the client's requirements and contained no errors that prevented it from functioning properly. All detected issues were discussed with the Product Owner, who prioritized them, allowing for a quick and effective response.
As part of the project, we implemented a number of solutions to support process quality and transparency:
• Test plans, test cycles, and tests in Zefir – enabling progress tracking, controlling the number of errors found, and accelerating report creation.
• Story workflow – we introduced a labeling system in Jira, giving PMs and POs full visibility into the status of each story.
• Dashboards with key indicators – clear and understandable summaries of work progress, errors, and priorities.
• Jira and Zefir integration – we created an "inseparable pair" of tools supporting broadly defined testing, ensuring data consistency and process efficiency. Thanks to these solutions, the testing and bug management process became more structured, and the team was able to respond to changes faster and deliver a stable MVP version.
