About the client
The VCC Foundation is a non-profit organization that works to develop professional and social competences. The Foundation specializes in creating modern certification standards and implementing educational programs that support the development of the labor market.
The project required the implementation of the Open Badges 3.0 standard, including the adaptation and migration of data from the existing system. The team had to create a dedicated badge validator, as there were no ready-made solutions compliant with the new standard. The key challenge was to integrate multiple services while maintaining the consistency of the system. Additionally, it was necessary to optimize the process of collecting statistics on issued badges, which required advanced data aggregation.
The project's completion resulted in achieving the goal of enabling users to obtain credible certificates confirming the acquisition of specific skills. A key factor of success was establishing direct cooperation with the client, which allowed for the effective overcoming of technical challenges related to integration with the existing system.
