About the client
Circle K is an international chain of petrol stations and stores, operating in over 20 countries around the world. The brand is particularly known for its innovative approach to retail, offering not only fuels but also a wide range of food products, beverages and additional services, such as car washes and catering points.
Our goal was to create a reliable and scalable service that handles event streams from various sources. The solution was to enable processing these events and sending notifications to defined recipients using various communication channels. The project required integration with multiple systems, ensuring high performance and the ability to easily scale in response to the growing number of events and users.
A notification service that integrates with both client systems (which provide information about subscriptions and notification recipients) and notification providers (responsible for detecting events about which someone wants to be notified). As a result, the service flawlessly transfers information about existing subscriptions and distributes notifications about detected events to interested subscribers.
