Allegro is the largest e-commerce platform in Poland, enabling the sale and purchase of millions of products in various categories. Thanks to advanced technological solutions, Allegro connects sellers and customers, providing fast, safe and convenient online shopping.
The project required adjustments in both business and technical terms, which involved deep analysis and optimization of the existing system architecture. The key challenge was to effectively connect different services and manage their dependencies in a distributed environment, which required advanced technical knowledge. Additionally, the project included coordination of activities between teams, which required precise management and close cooperation to ensure the smooth operation of the entire system.
The implementation of Allegro.cz required the cooperation of many teams and the adaptation of existing mechanisms to the requirements of international expansion. The changes included logistics, payments, advertising, translations, the offer and settlements. Logistics was adapted to the new delivery parameters, and new rules for the promotion of free deliveries were implemented in Smart. Payments were extended to include multi-currency, and advertising took into account differences between markets. Translation mechanisms enabled localization of offers, and the system verified the compliance of products with the regulations of a given country. Additionally, settlements were adapted to multi-currency.
